Virtual Guard Monitoring Australia

Virtual guard monitoring replaces some on-site patrols with scheduled video tours and live verbal warnings delivered from a Grade A1 centre. Instead of waiting for an alarm, our operators conduct scheduled video tours of your site, opening each camera in turn, checking the perimeter, compounds, entries and high-value areas just as a patrolling guard would, but from the centre. Tours run at set or random intervals through the night. The defining feature is the live verbal warning: when an operator sees someone where they should not be, they speak directly through on-site speakers, a clear challenge that the person is being watched and that external authorities will be contacted. Most opportunistic offenders leave; if not, the operator escalates under a rapid, verified response under AS 2201.2-2022.

WHAT VIRTUAL GUARD MONITORING COVERS

Proactive remote guarding across your cameras, all attended by licensed operators at our ASIAL-certified Grade A1 centre.

Scheduled Virtual Patrols

Operators run timed CCTV patrols across your site at set intervals, adding an active tour to your cameras rather than a passive watch.

Live Audio Challenge

Real-time voice-down warnings are issued through audio-capable devices to deter offenders and move them on as behaviour is seen.

Concierge & Access Support

Remote gate and door management and visitor checks give a site a staffed feel without an officer physically on site.

Alarm & Event Response

Operators verify and escalate triggers as they happen, so a genuine event is acted on and a false one is stood down.

Opening/Closing & Welfare Checks

Remote support for staff routines and lone workers adds a monitored check to opening, closing and welfare points through the day.

Reporting & Evidence

Documented patrol logs and retained incident footage give you an auditable record for review, insurers and compliance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a virtual guard?

A remote operator at an ASIAL-certified Grade A1 centre who runs scheduled CCTV patrols, issues live audio challenges and provides concierge-style presence for a site, delivering proactive guarding without an officer physically on site.

How does virtual guard monitoring compare to on-site guards?

On-site guards provide a physical presence and hands-on response; virtual guarding provides proactive remote watch, audio deterrence and event escalation. Many sites use it as a cost-effective complement to, or in place of, some on-site hours.

Can operators speak to intruders through the cameras?

Yes. Where audio-capable devices are installed, operators issue a live voice-down warning to deter offenders and move them on as behaviour is seen.

Are the patrols scheduled or random?

Both. Operators run timed patrols across your cameras and can add random tours, so activity is checked at set intervals and at unpredictable times.

Does virtual guard monitoring reduce security costs?

It can lower the cost of continuous cover by using remote operators and existing cameras instead of, or alongside, on-site hours, though the mix depends on your site and risk.

Can you use our existing cameras?

Yes. We integrate common IP camera systems, typically without full replacement, so your existing cameras support virtual patrols and audio challenges where devices allow.

Is virtual guard monitoring Grade A1 certified?

Yes. It is delivered from our ASIAL-certified Grade A1 centre under AS/NZS 2201.2-2022, the highest Australian monitoring class.

Which sites suit virtual guard monitoring?

Sites with good camera coverage and defined access points — construction, commercial property, retail, logistics yards and car parks — where proactive remote presence and audio deterrence add value.

Do you provide reporting and footage?

Yes. Patrols and interventions are logged, and incident footage is retained, giving you a documented record for review, insurers and compliance.
